The Silverado memory care center offers home care, hospice
care and memory care communities. One conflict that could arise from this is
the fact that the center may not be affordable to everyone. The funding received
for the healthcare services provided is either taxpayer funded or privately
funded which is usually provided through an employer. Some employers do not offer benefits that are accommodating
to everyone which may cause a conflict amongst the residents of the city
because the Silverado care center is adjacent to other community centers that
offer the same services but in a package that’s not as appealing due to funding.
This ties into another issue that
relates to the state, which is some centers failing to meet the quality of care
requirements. This causes concerns about what Medicare is actually paying for, private
funding gives facilities the opportunity to pay their workers and offer
flexible hours more which can affect the quality of care. the ACA eliminated many but not all of these issues.
